Mackay Christian RI: New Staff Appointments and School Growth

Tabitha Norgate has been employed for one day per week starting in Term 1, 2026. She is currently teaching eight lessons across five different schools to fill critical gaps where volunteers have not been available.
Merril Clarke is also continuing her work this year. After beginning paid RI work in Term 4, 2025—which allowed the program to move into Northview State School—Merril has expanded her schedule to three days per week. This has enabled the launch of a Christian RI program at Mirani State School, which has not had a program for over 10 years.
Currently, Merril is teaching 24 lessons. This includes six lessons at Swayneville State School and Sarina State School, where she has stepped in following the retirement of Jo and Lindsey Enderby. Merril is now training new instructors at Swayneville State School and Sarina State School and, God willing, will hand over these schools at the end of this term.
The goal is for Merril to then establish RI programs at three additional schools. Please be praying for this continued expansion and the successful training of our new instructors.
